First of all i wanna give a fat shout out to ALL the dj´s in our community.
I want you to see this thread as a feedback n not a hate thread.
I respect and put all off you very high. Props to u all.
You are the backbone for what we do when we rock the floor.

Without you we are nothing.
But right now we are turning into nothing.

Im writing this maybe because
im a lill older then most of the people in the scene today.
Hell, i even seen kidz that has never scene or heard a dj play vinyl.
Thats how bad things has become.

I understand the possibillities of SERATO dont get me wrong.
But how come everytime i hear a dj mix with a SERATO it allmost sounds the same?
Even mix tapes are sometimes done in the same way ?
Whats up are yall getting lazy or what?
Use the possibillities or get off the damn machine.

Back in the days when it was VINYL it didnt sound like this.
Its so common now that even the new kids on the scene
anticipate it and use it in there dance.
Why? because it all sounds the same.
Then the crowd say yeah hes dope with the music
he can feel the dj WRONG its because 90% of all dj´s mixes the same way.

So dj´s please

When u play in ur own town, BRING VINYL.

When u are playing at one of the biggest jams in the world
and there is a loooong asss dj line up n your set is 30 min, BRING VINYL.

If your a skinny n need the exercise ALLWAYS BRING VINYL.

If u wanna look like a computer geek bring SERATO.

If u wanna hook up with a LADY having ur nose in your computer wont help u at all.

If u wanna hook up a LADY flipping records interact and entertaining the crowd gets u girls YA DIG !!!

If u wanna help a kid with no money to get in for free BRING VINYL so they can carry it.

If u insist on bringing a SERATO use its possibilitties. LIKE REALLY and try to be original.

If u are a fresh new dj (1-5 years) and u havent any VINYL
and ur music collection consist of a harddrive
you shouldnt be playing at a jam U ARE A TOY STILL.

IF U CARE ABOUT THIS DANCE BRING VINYL!!!!!

N stop playing breaks at the after parties. Its a party !

If the floor is empty TRY changing your act. You are playing for ur crowd not for yourself.

If i hear another dj pitching up classics etc just to get dancers hyped
i will fucking force u to dance to that speed.It doesnt leave any time for finess.

If u was a dancer ur self u would know this.

일단 전세계의 모든 DJ들에게 shout out을 보낸다.
이 글을 피드백으로 보지 누군가를 비판하는 내용으로 보지 않기를 바란다.
나는 당신들 모두를 진심으로 존중한다. 우리가 있기 전에 당신들(DJ)이 있고
당신들이 있어야 우리 또한 춤을 출수 있다.
당신들이 없으면 우리들은 아무것도 아니다.
그렇지만 우리 모두가 정녕 아무것도 아니게 되어가고 있다.

내가 이 글을 쓰는 이유는 아마도 이씬에 있는 사람들 대부분보다 나이가 있기 때문이라고 본다.
Vinyl(바이닐L.P판)을 가지고 음악을 트는걸 보지도 못하는 애들도 본적이 있다.
그만큼 상황이 심각해졌다고 본다.

Serato의 중요성을 나도 안다.
그런데 왜 DJ가 Serato로 믹스를 하면 다 똑같이 들리는지 모르겠다.
믹스테이프들도 그런 식으로 만들어 졌나? 무슨 일이야 다들 귀찮아진 거야 뭐야?
가능성을 중요시 하던가 아니면 쓸데없는 기계에서 벗어나라고!

예전에, vinyl을 썼을때는 이렇지 않았어. 지금은 Serato가 너무 당연시되어서
새로 시작하는 아이들도 받아들이고 자기 춤에 그게 보여.
왜? 음악이 다 똑같이 들리거든. 그러면 관중들이 “아 저 사람은 flava있군, 음악을 느끼고 있어!”
틀렸어! 그 이유는 90%의 DJ들의 음악이 똑같이 느껴지거든.

그러니까 DJ들 제발!

당신네 동네에서 음악을 틀 때는 Vinyl(바이닐lp)을 쓰라고!

당신이 세계에서 알아주는 엄청나게 큰 JAM에서
DJ라인도 긴 곳에서 한 30분 정도 틀 거면, Vinyl을 쓰라고!

당신이 말랐고 운동 좀 해야 하면, Vinyl을 써!(Joke)

당신이 컴퓨터에 빠진 놈 처럼 보이고 싶다면, Serato를 가져와

여자가 꼬이길 바란다면, 컴퓨터 장비나 질질 끌고 다니면 여자가 붙지를 않는다!

음반을 돌리면서 집중하고 관중들과 함께 한다면 여자들은 알아서 꼬여!

돈이 없는 아이들이 행사에 들어오게 하고 싶다면 Vinyl을 가져와!
들어올 때 가방을 들어줄 수 있으니까!

Serato를 가져오고 싶다면, 그 기계의 가장 중요한 기능들,
가능성들을 최대한 쓰라고 그리고 최대한 오리지날해져봐!

당신이 이제 DJ를 시작했고 (1~5년정도) Vinyl을 써 본적이 없고
당신의 음반 모음이 하드디스크에 있다면,어느 Jam에서든 아직 음악을 틀기에는 멀었다.

이 춤이라는 것에 진심으로 신경이 쓰인다면 Vinyl을 가지고 다녀야 해!!
아 그리고 After party에서 break를 좀 그만 틀어! 이건 party잖아!!

만약에 무대가 비었다면, 너의 행동이나 너의 생각을 바꿔봐,
너 자신을 위해 틀고 있는 거지 관중들을 위해서 틀고있는게 아니라는 말이니까.
만약에 DJ 하나가 Classic 노래 등등을 피치 업 시켜봐
내가 그 DJ가 그 스피드에 맞게 춤추게 할 테니까.

멋을 보이는데 쓰이는 시간이 없어지게 만들잖아.

당신이 댄서라면 이 말이 무슨 말인지 알 거야.
